A Comprehensive Review on Digital Image Watermarking

The advent of the Internet led to the easy availability of digital data like images, audio, and video. Easy access to multimedia gives rise to the issues such as content authentication, security, copyright protection, and ownership identification. Here, we discuss the concept of digital image watermarking with a focus on the technique used in image watermark embedding and extraction of the watermark. The detailed classification along with the basic characteristics, namely visual imperceptibility, robustness, capacity, security of digital watermarking is also presented in this work. Further, we have also discussed the recent application areas of digital watermarking such as healthcare, remote education, electronic voting systems, and the military. The robustness is evaluated by examining the effect of image processing attacks on the signed content and the watermark recoverability. The authors believe that the comprehensive survey presented in this paper will help the new researchers to gather knowledge in this domain. Further, the comparative analysis can enkindle ideas to improve upon the already mentioned techniques

Chronic Active Hepatitis B with HBV-Associated Nephropathy: Close Resemblance to Lupus Nephritis

We present a rare case of a 23-year-old male incidentally detected with hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection presenting with features suggestive of HBV-associated nephropathy. A renal biopsy specimen suggested a mesangioproliferative glomerulonephritis with a full-house pattern on immunoflourescence consistent with a diagnosis of diffuse lupus nephritis. Glomerular HbeAg and HbsAg antigens were not detectable by immunofluorescence. Antiviral therapy was instituted to suppress viral replication, thereby leading to clinical and virological remission, including that of the glomerulonephritis, without the need for additional immunosuppressant therapy. This case depicts the uniqueness of the presentation of the two conditions mimicking each other, the strategy adopted to prevent the activation of viral replication and the achievement of clinical remission

Performance analysis of DCF protocol for different node density and traffic load conditions using GloMoSim By

This paper presents a study of IEEE 802.11 DCF MAC layer access mechanism, using GloMoSim (GLobal MObile information system SIMulator). A performance evaluation of the IEEE 802.11 DCF with the help of several simulation scenarios in GloMoSim has been done. Variation of throughput and end to end delay with respect to number of stations has been carried out. Packet delivery ratio with changing mobility speed and number of CBR pairs has also been studied. The changing pattern of aggregated throughput and average end to end delay with number of CBR pairs has also been studied. Besides some common basic analysis, we have considered CBR pairs for the performance analysis of DCF protocol
